At today’s UN General Assembly meeting, former U.S. President Donald Trump delivered a high-profile address, touching on key global issues, U.S. foreign policy, and his administration’s recent actions.
Donald Trump addressed the UN General Assembly and declared that the United States is currently in its “Golden Age.” He went on to highlight the historic trade deals he has signed after introducing sweeping global tariffs. Beyond that, Trump took a dig at Europe, describing their efforts to curb and cut off Russian energy products amid the ongoing war in Ukraine as “embarrassing.”
He also boisterously pointed out that he has managed to end seven wars since his return to the White House and criticized the United Nations for not even attempting to help find solutions to these conflicts.

President Trump acknowledged the Russia-Ukraine war was harder to resolve than he anticipated, though he claimed it would never have started had he been in office, citing his prior diplomacy with Putin, including a summit in Alaska. Despite his efforts to encourage direct talks with Zelensky, no peace deal was reached. The conflict, which began with Crimea’s annexation in 2014, escalated into a full-scale war in 2022, with ongoing battles and a notable Ukrainian incursion into Russia’s Kursk Oblast in August 2024.
