United States President Donald Trump on Tuesday declared the commencement of the next stage of the operation of Gaza peace plan. In a post on Truth Social, Trump reaffirmed the safe return of all twenty hostages, stating they are “feeling as good as can be expected.”
What did Trump say?
Trump described the development as a major relief, noting that “a big burden has been lifted.” However, the US President emphasised that the mission remains incomplete, pointing out that “the dead have not been returned.” Concluding his statement, Trump declared the commencement of the next stage of the Gaza peace deal, stating, “Phase Two begins right now.”
“ALL TWENTY HOSTAGES ARE BACK AND FEELING AS GOOD AS CAN BE EXPECTED. A big burden has been lifted, but the job IS NOT DONE. THE DEAD HAVE NOT BEEN RETURNED, AS PROMISED! Phase Two begins right NOW!!! President DJT,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
US President Donald Trump Signs Gaza Peace Plan
Notably, US President Donald Trump signed the Gaza peace plan in Egypt on Monday. The plan was also signed by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
In his address at the Sharm El-Sheikh Peace Summit, Trump declared an end to the war in Gaza, emphasising the beginning of a new chapter marked by recovery and hope. “After years of suffering and bloodshed, the war in Gaza is over. Humanitarian aid is now pouring in, including hundreds of truckloads of food, medical equipment, and other supplies, much of it paid for by people in this room. Civilians are returning to their homes. The hostages are reuniting…It’s so beautiful to see a new and beautiful day rising, and now the rebuilding begins,” Trump said.
