A man used a belt to lasso a woman’s neck in New York City, dragging her between two cars before sexually assaulting her. Surveillance cameras captured the incident.
Police reported that an unknown man attacked a woman in the Bronx borough of the city around 3 am on May 1. The 45-year-old woman was walking along a sidewalk when the assailant, approaching from behind, carried out the attack.
Surveillance footage shows the attacker, his face covered with a white cloth, silently following the woman. Abruptly, he used a belt to trap her neck, forcefully bringing her to the ground.
The victim, observed struggling to release herself from the belt, was pulled down the sidewalk by the assailant. As the woman seemed to lose consciousness, the attacker pulled her between two cars, where he sexually assaulted her while she was unconscious.

The man then left the scene and police are still searching for him. Medical personnel transported the survivor to NYC Health & Hospitals/Lincoln for treatment, and she remains in stable condition.
Reports indicate that the suspect engaged in a brief conversation with the woman before initiating the attack.
The man’s description provided by the NYPD listed his height as 5 feet 9 inches, his medium complexion, and his clothing choices, which included a black hoodie with white lettering that said “GAP,” white trousers, and black-red-white sneakers.
