Minister of State for External Affairs Kirti Vardhan Singh will represent India at the Gaza peace summit in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, on Monday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi was invited to the summit by US President Donald Trump and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, but there is no official confirmation of his participation. The summit is expected to be attended by around 20 world leaders, including President Trump.
According to PTI report, MoS Kirti Vardhan Singh has been deputed to attend the high-level meeting. An official confirmation into this matter is awaited. Notably, US President Trump and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi will chair the meeting "Sharm El-Sheikh Peace Summit," to finalise an agreement aimed at ending the war in Gaza.
"The summit aims to end the war in the Gaza Strip, enhance efforts to bring peace and stability to the Middle East, and usher in a new phase of regional security and stability. This summit comes in light of US President Trump's vision for achieving peace in the region and his relentless efforts to end conflicts around the world," the Egyptian presidency said in a statement.

Trump to visit Israel and Egypt
President Trump is set to depart the White House on Sunday afternoon, arriving in Tel Aviv early Monday morning (local time). His tightly scheduled visit will include a private meeting with the families of hostages at the Knesset, followed by a public address to Israeli lawmakers. This marks Trump's first visit to Israel since announcing the ceasefire deal between Israel and Hamas. Following his stop in Israel, Trump will travel to Egypt.
