According to senior police officers, 40-year-old Juanita Pinan works at a beauty parlor in Omaha, America. One day, she brought her 5-year-old son, Dionisio Perez, with her. She parked her SUV, left her son inside, and went into the beauty parlor. The child stayed in the car for about 7 hours.
The car became extremely hot due to the intense heat. When the stepmother returned, she found her child had a high fever. She took him to a nearby hospital, but the doctor declared him dead upon arrival. Doctors reported that the child’s body temperature reached 105 degrees, leading to his death.
The police arrested the stepmother and charged her with child abuse. If found guilty, she could face up to 20 years in prison. It is still unclear whether the child’s death was accidental or intentional. The stepmother also has a criminal record, having been convicted of fraud and theft in 2016.
