The ministry further added that, like every year, priority for Hajj participation will be given to individuals who have not performed the pilgrimage before. Health-related precautions of the pilgrims will be taken into consideration.

If you are also planning to take your children for Hajj this year, then you must update yourself with this news. Saudi Arabia has imposed ban on children from accompanying pilgrims during the 2025 Hajj season, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah stated. Along with this rule, the country has suspended multiple-entry visas for one year, indefinitely, for 14 countries including India.

Reason Behind The Ban

The decision has been taken to protect children from the risks/ harm associated with excessive crowding that occurs every year during Hajj season. Notably, Islam followers from around the world flock to Saudi Arabia for the annual Hajj Pilgrimage. “This measure is taken to ensure the safety and well-being of children and to avoid exposing them to any harm during the pilgrimage,” the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah stated. The decision further aims to improve crowd management, reduce risks associated with overcrowding and make pilgrimage comfortable for new pilgrims.
