New Delhi: Russian President Vladimir Putin will probably attend the G-20 summit in India later this year. The Kremlin indicated on Monday.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov was asked whether Putin would attend the summit in India., the spokesperson said that he cannot rule it out. But no decision has been taken yet.
Putin has not attended the last two G-20 conferences
If Putin comes to India to attend the G-20 summit then it will be the first time in the last three years that he will participate in the G-20 meeting. He did not travel to the G-20 conference held in Bali, Indonesia in 2022.

Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov attended last year’s summit at his place amid pressure from Western countries over Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Putin did not attend the G-20 held in Rome.
The meeting will be held in Delhi in September
The G-20 leaders’ summit is scheduled to be held in New Delhi on 9 and 10 September 2023. Peskov said that Russia continues its full participation in the G-20 format, and we intend to continue it.
