New Delhi: In the latest of the Russia crisis, fighters from the Wagner group turned back to the southern Russian city of Rostov-on-Don, ending the threat posed to President Vladmir Putin’s existence in the power.

The Wagner Private Military Company (PMC) of Yevgeny Prigozhin returned to obey its leader after the Kremlin brokered a deal with latter, piquing interest of everyone who thought finally, Ukraine may get to have an upperhand now.

The CNN reported that the deal between Russia and Ukraine was mediated by Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko.

After which, Russian warlord Prigozhin halted the march on Saturday citing reasons to stop bloodshed of Russians. He said, “Now is the moment when blood can be shed.”

“Therefore, realizing all the responsibility for the fact that Russian blood will be shed from one of the sides, we turn our columns around and leave in the opposite direction to the field camps according to the plan,” added Prigozhin, reported the CNN.

Meanwhile, the fighters from Wagner group will not be subjected to any legal action.  Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said Russia has “always respected (Wagner’s) heroic deeds.”

Peskob also gave insight on Prigozhin’s futurein Russia, while adding that the situation in the country has been resolved. He said, criminal cases against the Wagner group head will be dropped.
