When World War II broke out in Europe, Fort Knox was used as a tank training center. In 2005, most of the US Army’s facilities were moved there, with the exception of the Human Resources Command Center. Today, about half of the US Treasury’s gold is stored at Fort Knox.

Very few people know what the building looks like inside or what it contains. Its security is so strict that no one can open the gold storage alone.
