Prime Minister Narendra Modi has left for India after a fruitful visit to China for participating in the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Summit on Monday.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi was formally welcomed by Chinese President Xi Jinping on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit. The meeting came after bilateral talks between the two leaders in Tianjin city ahead of the summit. The meeting came at a time when the international environment remains volatile due to tariffs imposed by the US and strained China-US relations.
Prime Minister Modi arrived in China on Saturday to attend the annual SCO summit, which is held in Tianjin for two days. This visit is his first time in China after a gap of seven years and after the Galwan Valley clash.
Prime Minister Modi was given a grand welcome by the Indian community on his arrival in China with slogans like “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” and “Vande Mataram”. Later, he attended a cultural program where Chinese artists gave mesmerizing performances on Indian classical instruments like sitar, santoor and tabla.
