In a tragic incident in Pakistan’s troubled Balochistan province, a suicide blast near a mosque resulted in the loss of 52 lives and left over 50 individuals injured. The explosion occurred in close proximity to the Madina Mosque in Mastung district as people were gathering to commemorate Eid Miladun Nabi, the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad.

Among the casualties was Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Nawaz Gashkori, who was present at the rally when the explosion took place. City Station House Officer (SHO) Mohammad Javed Lehri confirmed that it was a “suicide blast,” with the bomber exploding himself near the DSP’s vehicle.
