Pakistan: After being sentenced to three years in prison and disqualified from politics for five years, former Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan’s pre-arrest video message has emerged on social media.
In the video, Khan anticipated his arrest and urged his Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers and supporters to remain peaceful, steadfast, and strong.
In the message recorded before his arrest, Khan stated that his arrest was expected, and he saw it as another step in fulfilling the so-called “London Plan.”

Despite his predicament, he requested his followers not to remain silent after his arrest, emphasizing that his efforts were not for himself but for the betterment of his people and the community.
The arrest and sentencing came after a Pakistan district and sessions court found Imran Khan guilty in the Toshakhana case, involving the illegal selling of state gifts. Along with the three-year prison term, Khan was disqualified from participating in politics for five years and fined Rs 100,000.
He was apprehended from his Zaman Park residence in Lahore following the court’s verdict.
Prior to the sentencing, a significant police presence was deployed outside the court premises, with only lawyers allowed inside the courtroom. However, the Islamabad High Court later set aside the session court’s verdict on the Toshakhana case and ordered a rehearing of the case.

The Toshakhana case stemmed from a criminal complaint filed by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), and it involves allegations regarding gifts and materials received by individual’s subject to the Toshakhana rules, which mandate reporting such items to the Cabinet Division.
Imran Khan has faced various legal cases over the retention of gifts, leading to his disqualification by the electoral body on this matter.
