New Delhi: As many as three people were killed while, 23 others got injured in a suicide bomb attack in western Pakistan, reported the news agency AFP while quoting an official.

The attack was claimed by the domestic chapter of the Taliban on Wenesday. The attackers said they targetted a police van which was leaving to escort a polio vaccinators in the city of Quetta.

There were a woman, a policeman and a child among those who were killed in the incident.

It should be noted that the Pakistan Taliban — known as Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) — is a seprate outfit from that of the Taliban in Afghanistan. However, the two share the same Islamic ideology.

Recently on Monday, the Pakistan’s Taliban group announced that the ceasefire with the Islamabad is ended. With this, the attacks across the nation will take place.
