Air Force One and Spirit Flight 1300, an Airbus SE A321 airplane from Fort Lauderdale to Boston, were flying over Long Island when an air traffic controller recognized the altitudes were similar, and the flight paths were converging. The controller attempted to notify the Spirit pilots to change direction.
Flight radar data shows that the two jets met approximately 11 miles apart. Donald Trump arrived in London for his historic second state visit. Trump received a grand welcome upon his arrival. Tight security measures were in place for his visit. A protest called the “Stop the Trump Coalition” was underway there, and 1,600 police officers were deployed to deal with it.
