Russia: Russian President Vladimir Putin has expressed the challenges in implementing a ceasefire amid the ongoing conflict between Kyiv and Moscow, according to CNN.
He stated that for the peace process to commence, an agreement is necessary from both sides, but the Ukrainian army’s offensive actions make reaching such an agreement difficult.
Putin emphasized that Russia has never rejected peace negotiations with Ukraine.

During a summit with African governments, Putin mentioned that he was considering a peace initiative proposed by leaders, but also blamed Ukraine for not coming to the table.
However, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has made it clear that peace negotiations with Moscow will not occur until Russian soldiers withdraw from Ukrainian territory.
Zelenskyy believes that allowing negotiations while Russian forces occupy Ukrainian land would only perpetuate the war, suffering, and pain caused by the Russian attack.
Meanwhile, tensions escalated further as Russia reported that Ukraine targeted Moscow with drones, with three drones being intercepted.
