According to media reports, Iranian officials have denied the reports of explosion near Isfahan.
The Jerusalem Post reported that Iranian officials from the Khatam al-Anbiya Air Defense Base denied reports of explosions near the city of Isfahan in early hours of Tuesday morning. The officials said that there was no invasion into Iranian aerospace. The cause of the explosion therefore is said to be likely local.
According to Ynet news, no further details regarding the nature of the explosion was provided.
Reportedly, explosion were heard near the Isfahan nuclear facility on Tuesday overnight. Media reports claimed that something could be seen burning.

As per the reports, Israel had launched airstrike targeting the defense facilities of Iran and it included an airbase near Isfahan on 19 April 2024.
Isfahan is believed to be a key site of Iranian nuclear facilities. The Nuclear Technology Center in Isfahan is a uranium processing plant that prepares the radioactive material for enrichment.
