New twist in Imran Khan case as Elon Musk now enters the scene, ex-wife Jemima pens important message, says…

Jemima Goldsmith has appealed to X owner Elon Musk, claiming that her posts about Imran Khan’s detention and treatment are being suppressed, as she raises concern over his continued isolation and human rights.

The family of former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan has once again raised serious concerns about his health and treatment in jail. His former wife, Jemima Goldsmith, has now directly appealed to X owner Elon Musk, claiming that her posts about Imran Khan are not reaching people. She alleged that the visibility of her account has been deliberately reduced, making her voice almost unheard on the platform.

Jemima Goldsmith says her posts are being suppressed

On Friday, Jemima Goldsmith wrote on X that her posts highlighting Imran Khan’s legal situation and the way he is being treated in prison are not reaching users. Addressing Elon Musk, she claimed that the platform has sharply reduced the reach of her account.

Jemima said that Imran Khan has been kept in solitary confinement for the past 22 months in an unlawful manner. She also stated that his sons have not been allowed to meet him during this period. According to her, X is the only remaining platform where she can speak freely and inform the world about Imran Khan’s situation. She described him as a political prisoner who has been denied basic human rights. In her post, she wrote, ‘You promised free speech, not “speech but no one hears it”.’

Earlier as well, Jemima had accused Pakistani authorities of stopping her sons from communicating with their father. She also claimed that they were warned of possible arrest if they travelled to Pakistan.

Family and UN raise serious concerns

Imran Khan’s sister, Aleema Khan, also spoke to the media outside the jail this week. She said the family has been visiting the prison every Tuesday for the past eight months but has not been allowed to meet him even once. According to her, Imran Khan is being kept in isolation without any valid reason and this treatment must end.

The family has said it is deeply worried as it is not being given clear information about Imran Khan’s health or living conditions.

International concern has also been expressed. In July last year, a panel of United Nations experts stated that Imran Khan’s arrest violated international law. The panel said he was being arbitrarily detained to stop him from contesting elections. Since then, his family and supporters have continued to demand transparency and answers from the authorities.
