A bitter face-off took place between the Indian diaspora and a group of Khalistani supporters in Melbourne, Australia, during 79th Independence Day celebrations.
A group of Khalistanis disrupted the celebrations, but the people from the Indian diaspora responded by singing patriotic songs.
The Australia Today posted on X, “Disturbance outside the Consul General of India in Melbourne! Khalistani ‘goons’ reportedly created a ruckus, disrupting the premises and raising tensions. Indians had gathered to peacefully celebrate India’s 79th Independence Day, but the celebrations were interrupted. Local authorities are monitoring the situation.”
