New Delhi: Taliban spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid has denied that Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) chief Maulana Masood Azhar was in Afghanistan. Zabiullah said that he is in Pakistan only. Pakistan is pretending to show the world.
Pakistan has written a letter to Afghanistan for the arrest of Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) chief Maulana Masood Azhar, Bol News quoted sources as saying that Maulana Masood Azhar is probably present in Nangarhar and Kandahar areas of Afghanistan.

Azhar not in Afghanistan, might be in Pakistan
However, reacting to the letter, Islamic Emirate spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid said, “The leader of the Jaish-e-Mohammed group is not here in Afghanistan. This is an organization that can be in Pakistan. Anyway, he is not in Afghanistan and we have not been asked anything like this. We have heard about it in the news. Our reaction is that this is not true.”
Furthermore, the Taliban-led foreign ministry said such allegations could affect relations between Kabul and Islamabad. Abdul Kahar Balkhi, a spokesman for the Taliban, said: “We call on all parties to refrain from making such allegations without any evidence and documents. Such media allegations can adversely affect bilateral relations.”

FATF releases report
The report comes after Paris-based international watchdog Financial Action Task Force (FATF) forced Islamabad to act against some UN-designated terrorists who are now offering the possibility of being left out of the gray list. Notably, Pakistan’s recent crackdown on Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) Operational Commander Sajid Mir, whom it continues to declare dead, is a result of continued pressure from FATF on Pakistan.
Pakistan maintains that Azhar is not present in Pakistan and is likely to be in Afghanistan. Despite Pakistan’s claim that he cannot be traced, he continues to publish articles on Pakistani social media networks encouraging JeM cadres to join jihad. The Taliban takeover of Kabul is praised by the claim that a Taliban victory will open the way for Muslim victory elsewhere.
