Gen Z youth groups organized a massive rally in Mexico City to protest the assassination of Carlos Manzo, a Mexican mayor who was reportedly murdered by drug traffickers. Carlos Manzo had been a leading voice against drug trafficking in the past.
Gen Z Protests Take Over Mexico
The Gen Z protesters have expressed concern over the government’s failure to curb crime and fast-track the justice process. Even after strict action, the crowd protested outside the president’s security cordon and chanted slogans against corruption and violence.
