Marburg symptoms similar to Ebola virus
The symptoms of the Marburg virus discovered in Equatorial Guinea are identical to those of the Ebola virus, and a high number of people have been affected. Fever and chest pain are common Marburg virus symptoms. It is so serious that if care is not received in a timely manner, the patient may die.
World Health Organization issues warning
Following the discovery of the Marburg Virus, the World Health Organization (WHO) issued a warning and advised individuals to exercise caution. According to the WHO statement, advance teams have been sent in the impacted districts to conduct contact tracing, isolate sick people, and treat and care for people exhibiting illness symptoms.

Death rate upto 88 percent
The Marburg virus is extremely hazardous, with a fatality rate of up to 88 percent after infection. According to Dr Matshidiso Moeti, Regional Director of WHO, the Marburg virus infection spreads quickly. WHO has dispatched health emergency experts, infection control teams, labs, and communication support systems to prevent the virus from spreading.
Marburg virus transmitted from bats to humans
The Marburg virus is transmitted from bats to humans. It is then passed from person to person through direct contact with an infected patient’s bodily fluids, surfaces, and materials. There is currently no vaccination or therapy for this virus; nevertheless, prompt treatment can save the patient’s life.
