Newly released documents related to the late financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein have drawn attention for multiple mentions of Donald Trump, highlighting the US President’s social connections with Epstein in the 1990s. The documents include records of Epstein’s private jet flights and social contacts, with Trump listed alongside other public figures. One document circulating online contains a letter allegedly signed by Epstein, making a crude reference to a shared interest in young women involving Trump. However, the US Department of Justice has dismissed the letter as fake.
The release is part of a broader disclosure of Epstein-related material, mostly detailing previously known contacts rather than new allegations. While the files have renewed scrutiny of Epstein’s social network, they do not suggest wrongdoing by anyone named, including Trump. Trump has acknowledged knowing Epstein socially but denies any involvement in his crimes.
Trump mentioned in Epstein Files
Newly released documents related to Jeffrey Epstein reference Donald Trump multiple times, shedding light on his past social connections with the late financier. The files include emails, notes, and subpoenas, though they do not indicate any criminal wrongdoing by Trump.
Private jet trips
The files reveal that Trump flew on Epstein’s private jet eight times between 1993 and 1996. On four of these trips, Ghislaine Maxwell—who later trafficked young girls for Epstein—was also present. One flight included only Epstein, Trump, and an unidentified 20-year-old, while two other flights had women described as potential witnesses in Maxwell’s case, according to an internal 2020 email cited by Reuters.
Controversial note on ‘Young Girls’
The documents also contain a note allegedly from Epstein to former US gymnastics doctor Larry Nassar, referencing a “president” and making a crude comment about young women. While the note doesn’t explicitly name Trump, it implied a connection. The US Department of Justice has dismissed the letter as fake, noting inconsistencies in handwriting, a postmark dated three days after Epstein’s death, and missing inmate information.
The files show that a subpoena was issued to Trump’s Mar-a-Lago club in Florida in 2021. Prosecutors sought records relevant to the Ghislaine Maxwell case. The subpoena does not imply wrongdoing by Trump, but indicates investigators were gathering information from his property.

Trump and Epstein’s relationship
The documents also link Trump and Maxwell, based on images reviewed from data obtained from Steve Bannon’s cellphone. It has been previously established that Trump and Epstein were socially close, but authorities have never accused Trump of criminal activity. Trump has publicly distanced himself from Epstein, calling him a “creep” and stating that they stopped speaking years before Epstein’s death.
