Israel Attacks Iran Live Updates: The Israel Defense Forces on Saturday said they are conducting ‘precise attacks’ on Iranian military targets following Tehran’s launch of nearly 200 ballistic missiles toward Israel a month ago. The IDF said that these attacks are a response to ‘continuous attacks’ by the regime in Iran and its proxies since October 7 and that Israel has ‘every right and duty to respond.’
IDF stated, “The regime in Iran and its proxies in the region have been relentlessly attacking Israel since October 7th—on seven fronts—including direct attacks from Iranian soil.” They added, “Like any other sovereign nation, the State of Israel has the right and duty to respond.”
Responding to news regarding Israeli strikes on Iran, a UK government spokesman said that London is 'closely monitoring this situation'.
"We support Israel’s right to self-defense and to protect itself in line with international humanitarian law. Further escalation is in no-one's interest," BBC reports.
Israel Defense Forces said in a statement, “Our planes have safely returned home.”

Iranian state TV said on Saturday that the explosions heard in the capital were due to the 'activation of the air defence system' against Israel's attack.
"The loud explosions heard around Tehran were related to the activation of the air defense system against the actions of Zionist regime which attacked three locations outside of Tehran city," state TV reported, citing officials of the Tehran province air defense.

As per reports, Syrian state news agency SANA said Israel launched an airstrike from the occupied Golan Heights and Lebanon on Saturday, targeting military targets in Syria.
The agency cited an unnamed military source and said that the attack at around 2:00 am (2300 GMT) had targeted sites in central & southern Syria.
In response to the attack, SANA said that Syria activated its air defences after Israel announced it was going to conduct 'precise strikes' in Iran.
