New Delhi: Khalistani radicals in Scotland stopped Indian High Commissioner to UK Vikram Doraiswami to a Gurudwara amid growing stress between India and Canada. The Indo-Canada relations have largely been affected after the murder of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau had alleged “potential links” between Nijjar’s murder and agents of Indian government. This followed a major controversy, leading to the tensions between the two countries.

However, Canada on Friday, clarified about being “serious” for keeping India close since it is a growing economic power as well as an important geopolitical competent. But, the Canadian PM expressed, they wanted New Delhi to co-operate with Ottawa to find out the murderer behind Nijjar’s killing.

Recently, Canadian investigation agencies tried to dig deep into the records to find out if any Indian national travelled outside or across Canada before or after the death of Khalistani radical Hardeep Nijjar who was gunned down outside the Guru Nanak Sikh Gurdwara in Canada’s British Columbia on June 18.

Upon finding no travelling record of any Indian national, a few from the authorities suspected that the murder must have been done to settle the personal score while hinting at the possibilities that India may not have any connection to the crime.
