Jailed in Adiala Jail since 2023, PM Imran Khan has recently become the subject matter of headlines as social media handles from Afghanistan allegedly spread the hoax news that he was dead. Him being jailed in solitary confinement, along with the fact that his sisters have not been allowed to meet him, has added to the rumour that Imran Khan might not be doing so well.
Images of the cell where Imran Khan has been kept for more than 2 years and 3 months have further sparked a debate about the arrangements that he has been witnessing in the jail.
The Pakistan Government informed the Supreme Court
As per a report by ABP, the PM has been provided with a personal gallery as well, where he can take a walk whenever he feels like. Along with that, it was also promised that he will be privy to better food than the rest of the inmates. All these details were shared by the Pakistani government with the Supreme Court. The details also mentioned that Imran Khan will be allowed to read and will be offered books and newspapers on a daily basis. The report by ABP details that on 6th june Pakistani court was informed about the facilities that were provided to Imran khan, the list included a separate small kitchen as well as a walking gallery.
But this sits in contrast with what his family has described about his cell as his Son Kasim khan said.

Why has Imran Khan not been allowed to meet his family?
In the year 2023, Imran Khan was allowed to meet his family within the jail every week, but recently his sisters alleged that they have not been able to arrange a meeting with him in the last 4 weeks, and the family was suddenly stripped of their meeting privileges. The ABP report suggests that the meeting privileges have been ceased as Imran Khan used the interaction to share his opinion with supporters outside through his sisters. But the recent accession of Asim Munir to the position of Field Marshal has caused an uproar in Pakistan, and amid that uproar, his meetings were stopped.
