Madrid:  British rapper and suspected ISIS killer, Abdel-Majed Abdel Barry, known as ‘Jihadi’ John, was found dead in his prison cell in Spain at the age of 32. He was awaiting the verdict on terrorism charges when his life came to a tragic end, leaving many questions and speculation surrounding the circumstances of his death.

Abdel Barry was facing charges related to leading a roaming jihadist cell after leaving Syria. In 2020, he was arrested in Spain while attempting to enter the country illegally.

Throughout his trial, he staunchly denied all terrorism charges, insisting that his presence in Syria had been for humanitarian reasons.

Used bitcoins on dark web to make purchases

Prosecutors presented evidence alleging that he used bitcoin to purchase stolen or cloned bank cards on the Dark Web. With a possible nine-year prison sentence hanging over him if convicted, his life was at a critical juncture during the trial when he passed away.
