In the pursuit of gaining strategic lead in armoury, Israel is planning to strengthen its security shield even further. As per a latest announcement, an Israeli Defence Ministry official has announced that December 30th will be a very special day for the country. According to the new updates, the Israeli Army will be testing the the laser-enabled air defense system “Iron Beam,” which will further enhance the country’s air defences.
Head of the Israeli Ministry of Defence Directorate of Defence Research and Development, Daniel Gold, said that several tests have been completed and they have validated the system’s capabilities. “Therefore, we are ready to deliver it to the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) on December 30, 2025.” The Israeli official also pointed out that future systems are also being developed.
What is the laser-guided Iron Beam
Specifically designed for air defence purposes, it is capable of countering a variety of aerial threats, including rockets, mortars, and drones. Israeli officials say the Iron Beam laser system could bring about major changes on the battlefield. Israel has developed this unique system for more than a decade and it is now fully ready for deployment.
Israeli official details future plan
The Israeli Defence Ministry also revealed the country’s plans for the future. He said, “We are working on next-generation technology for future space conflicts, both offensive and defensive. This technology will be revealed in due course, and we will implement it successfully.”
Israel Blocked Threats with their weapons
Citing the performance of the weapons at a recent conflict, the country’s weapons had stopped all external threats in a timely manner. He said that Israel is prepared for the future, and work is ongoing to deal with any kind of threat
