Israel-Iran Conflict: Indian Students Evacuated From Tehran, MEA Advises Others To Relocate For Safety

In a post on X, the MEA said that the Embassy will continue to extend all feasible assistance to the community. Meanwhile, the conflict between the two countries has entered day 5. So far, 224 people have lost their lives in the strikes in Iran, while 24 have been killed in Israel.

Israel-Iran Conflict: As Israel and Iran continue to exchange fire, the Ministry of External Affairs on Tuesday informed that the Indian students have been moved out of Tehran for safety reasons, through arrangements made by the Embassy. In a post on X, MEA said, “Other residents who are self-sufficient in terms of transport have also been advised to move out of the city in view of the developing situation. Separately, some Indians have been facilitated to leave Iran through the border with Armenia.”

MEA further noted that the Embassy will continue to extend all feasible assistance to the community. Meanwhile, through a post on X, the Indian Embassy in Iran has released three contact numbers to help the Indian nationals stranded in Tehran and those who are not yet connected with them. The Embassy said, “All Indian Nationals who are in Tehran and not in touch with the Embassy are requested to contact the Embassy of India in Tehran immediately and provide their Location and Contact numbers. Kindly contact: +989010144557; +989128109115; +989128109109”

Additionally, the Indian Embassy has asked the Indian nationals and Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs), who can leave the city on their own, to relocate to a safer area. The conflict between the two countries has entered day 5. So far, 224 people have lost their lives in the strikes in Iran, while 24 have been killed in Israel.
