Iran Attacks Israel Live: Iran launched a missile attack on Israel on Tuesday in a major escalation in the raging conflict in the Middle East. The IDF said in a statement that all Israeli civilians are in bomb shelters as rockets from Iran are fired at Israel. According to state TV, more than 180 missiles were launched towards Israel. The Times of Israel reported that sirens continue to sound across Israel amid the attack. Around 10 million civilians are the targets of Iranian projectiles, the IDF said.

The latest attack comes after Israeli troops launched ground raids into Lebanon, in the biggest escalation of regional warfare since fighting erupted in Gaza a year ago.

External affairs minister S Jaishankar has expressed concern over the ongoing middle east crisis
"We regard October 7 as a terrorist attack. We understand that Israel needed to respond, but we also believe that any response by any country has to take into account international humanitarian law and that it must be careful about any damage or implications for civilian populations. It is important to have some kind of international humanitarian effort," Jaishankar said.
"We are concerned at the possibility of a broadening of the conflict, not just what happened in Lebanon, but also to the Houthis and the Red Sea, and to anything that happens between Iran and Israel. Don't underestimate the importance of communication in difficult times. If there are things to be said and passed on and back, I think those are all contributions that we can make, and we do," he added.

Donald Trump blasted US President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris in the wake of the Iranian missile attack on Israel. He said that it would lead to mass chaos on the world stage if Harris is elected in November.
“I’ve been talking about World War III for a long time, and I don’t want to make predictions because the predictions always come true. But they are very close to global catastrophe,” Trump said. “We have a nonexistent president and a nonexistent vice president who should be in charge. But nobody knows what’s going on. She was at a fundraiser in San Francisco.”
“If I were in charge, today’s attack on Israel never would have happened. All of the things that we’re talking about never would have happened, including that botched withdrawal that made us look so bad,” he said, referring to the withdrawal of U.S. forces from Afghanistan in 2021.
“If I win, we will have peace in the world again. I guarantee we will have peace in the world again,” Trump added. “And if Kamala gets four more — unthinkable, right? — if she gets four more years, the world goes up in smoke.”
Iran said that its missile attack on Israel was finished barring further provocation, Reuters reported.

We are still assessing the impact but, based on what we know, the attack appears to have been defeated and ineffective and this is a testament to Israeli military capability... (It is) also a testament to intensive planning (between) the United States and Israel to anticipate and defend against a brazen attack," he told reporters at the White House.
"Make no mistake, the United States is fully supportive of Israel. And I just spent the morning and part of the afternoon in the situation room, meeting with my whole national security team...
