The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) has prepared a four-kilometer security zone in northern Israel on Sunday to restrict access for civilians not residing in the area, citing ongoing rocket fire, attempted infiltrations, and heightened tensions along the northern border as the reasons behind this precaution, reported the Jerusalem Post.
In addition, the IDF advised individuals living within two kilometers of the border to remain in bomb shelters and safe rooms. Residents of the northern moshav were urged to find shelter immediately, while the Kiryat Shmona municipality also issued a similar directive for its residents in response to exchanges of fire along the border.
Furthermore, residents of several neighboring kibbutzim, including Yiftach, Menara, Maayan Baruch, Misgav Am, Yeron, Bar’am, Tzivon, Dan, Daphna, Snir, and Kfar HaGiladi, were similarly instructed to seek shelter later that Sunday morning.
