Israel’s Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar on Thursday attacked Iran for not giving up on its nuclear ambition. He stated that despite joint efforts by Israel and the United States to curb Iran’s nuclear program, Tehran continues to pursue its ambitions to acquire a nuclear weapon. In such situation, he announced that a move by the E3 to “initiate the return of UN sanctions on Iran is inevitable. The EU’s “big three” comprises France, Germany, and Italy.
In a post on X, Sa’ar stated that step would be significant in countering the Iranian regime’s nuclear objectives. “Even after Israel and the U.S. operation against Iran’s nuclear program, Iran hasn’t abandoned its desire to acquire a nuclear weapon. This is why the E3’s move to initiate the return of UN sanctions on Iran is inevitable. It is an important step in the diplomatic campaign to counter the Iranian regime’s nuclear ambitions,” he wrote on X.

Israel-US Thwarted Iran’s Nuclear Pursuit
Two months have passed since the United States military targeted nuclear sites at the heart of Iran’s nuclear ambitions. The three nuclear sites bombarded by the US included Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan. These sites were central to Tehran’s nuclear programme.
While addressing the nation after the success, President Trump said, “Tonight, I can report to the world that the strikes were a spectacular military success. Iran’s key nuclear enrichment facilities have been completely and totally obliterated.”
While Trump asserted that Iran’s nuclear enrichment facilities have been completely and totally obliterated, the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) quoted an official saying, “There are no materials in these three nuclear sites that cause radiation.”
During the Israel-Iran conflict, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu stated that Israel conducted the attacks to stop the Iranian regime building atomic bombs to destroy Israel.
“We’re doing so against a tyrannical and radical Iranian regime that wants to build atomic bombs to destroy us and wants to build ballistic missiles, including intercontinental ballistic missiles, to be able to threaten anyone and everywhere in the world,” Netanyahu stated.
