The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) on Tuesday announced that in coordination with the Israel Security Agency (ISA), they conducted a strike targeting the senior leadership of the Hamas terrorist organisation. Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed the strikes and stated that “Israel takes full responsibility” of it. While Netanyahu and IDF didn’t specify the targeted location, it is likely that strikes were carried out in Qatar, as several explosions were heard in Doha around the time Israel announced the operation.

In a post on X, the IDF stated that these Hamas leaders were responsible for directing the organisation’s operations, directly involved in the brutal October 7 massacre, and have been orchestrating and managing the ongoing war against Israel.
The IDF stated that measures were taken to mitigate harm to civilians ahead of the strike. The IDF and ISA affirmed that they will continue to operate to defeat the “Hamas terrorist organisation” responsible for the October 7 attack.
“The IDF and ISA conducted a precise strike targeting the senior leadership of the Hamas terrorist organization. For years, these members of the Hamas leadership have led the terrorist organization’s operations, are directly responsible for the brutal October 7 massacre, and have been orchestrating and managing the war against the State of Israel. Prior to the strike, measures were taken in order to mitigate harm to civilians, including the use of precise munitions and additional intelligence,” the IDF wrote on X.
“The IDF and ISA will continue to operate with determination in order to defeat the Hamas terrorist organization responsible for the October 7 massacre,” the statement added.
