New Delhi: Amid the ongoing India-Canada diplomatic row, the journalists of Canada have been seeking Trudeau to provide substantial evidence in support of his allegation over India. The Canadian Prime Minister has claimed India’s involvement in the killing of Khalistani extremist Hardeep Singh Nijjar in British Columbia.
Meanwhile, David Eby, the premier of British Columbia, stated that the information he received on the killing of terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar was available on the internet. There has been no additional information on the killing of Nijjar from the government side.
He further stated that whatever information he has is already available in the public domain.
The Canadian lawmaker also expressed his suspicion over the Justin Trudeau-led Canadian government for holding back data regarding allegations of foreign interference in the killing of Khalistani leader Hardeep Singh Nijjar.
Eby also said he “strongly” suspected the Justin Trudeau-led government is holding back information that could help the province protect crucial information about Khalistani Nijjar’s killing, reported CBC News.
Additionally, the Canadian politician also termed a briefing with the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) director ‘frustrating’ as no substantial information was presented.
“I’ve been continually pushing the federal government and related agencies to share information with the province instead of holding about this latest incident,” Eby said in a video posted on CBC News.
Hardeep Singh Nijjar, who was shot dead outside a gurdwara by two unknown assailants in Surrey, British Columbia, in June, was the chief of the banned Khalistan Tiger Force (KTF).
