Indian MBBS Student Killed In Russia’s Tver; Body Sent For Postmortem

The woman was trying to cross the road when a speeding Skoda car of a 33-year-old man hit her. The ambulance reached the spot within 5-6 minutes, but she was declared dead on the spot.

An Indian woman student died in Russia’s Tver after being hit by a speeding car. The woman was a first-year student of MBBS in Tver State Medical College. She had gone out to purchase groceries when the mishap took place.

The woman was trying to cross the road when a speeding Skoda car of a 33-year-old man hit her. The ambulance reached the spot within 5-6 minutes, but she was declared dead on the spot. 

She had taken admission to the medical college last year and was living in a hostel on Furmanova Street. According to reports, she did not take the Zebra crossing and tried to cross the road.

The in charge of the international students club expressed grief over the incident. The deceased has been identified as Shreya, a native of Karnataka. He urged the students to follow the road guidelines and cross the roads where it is permissible. 

The authorities have taken the man into custody. Shreya’s body was sent to postmortem.
