Pakistan has always intended to raise the issue of Kashmir at international forums, and now it has started speaking on Arunachal Pradesh. Recently, it backed China on the issue by making an official statement. Now, India has openly supported the Taliban government in the United Nations Security Council and launched a scathing attack on Pakistan without taking its name.
India slams Pak airstrikes at UN
India’s permanent representative in the UN, Harish Parvathaneni, condemned the air strikes by the Pakistani Air Force on civilians and cricketers who lost their lives in the incident. He said this is a clear case of violation of WTO norms and the UN Charter. India has spoken for the first time in favour of the Taliban government in the Security Council.
He said, “India supports a pragmatic and incentive-based engagement with the Taliban.”
‘Trade and transit terrorism‘
Harish also slammed what he called “trade and transit terrorism” resulting from restricted access for Afghanistan.
India continues to monitor the security situation closely. It calls on the international community to ensure that UN-designated terrorist groups, such as ISIL, Al-Qaida, Lashkar-e-Taiba, Jaish-e-Mohammed and their affiliates, do not operate from Afghan territory.
Pak again interferes in India’s affairs
In fact, Pakistan came out in support of China over Arunachal Pradesh. While releasing a statement, Pakistani foreign ministry spokesperson Tahir Andrabi’s remarks show that Pakistan has once again started interfering in India’s internal matters.
‘India should also support Afghanistan’s position’
On December 6, former diplomat Kanwal Sibal said India should also support Afghanistan’s position on the Durand Line.
“By supporting China’s claim on Arunachal Pradesh, Pakistan is creating the ground for us to support Afghanistan’s position on the Durand Line,” Sibal posted on X.
