As CNN reported earlier, Donald Trump had plans to to turn himself in at the Fulton County jail in Atlanta on Thursday. The report further added that the date was chosen in a meeting held between Trump’s lawyers and the Fulton County district attorney’s office on Monday.
The meeting was about Trump’s consent bond and release conditions.
18 other than Trump was involved
The Georgia indictment that was 98-pages long had revealed last week that Trump and 18 other defendants were involved in decietful plans to reverse his defeat in 2020 election. All of them were charged with a total number of 41 criminal counts.
A court filing on Monday revealed that Trump’s former personal lawyer John Eastman is also planning to turn in on Wendesday as he was also involved in the Georgia case.
Earlier on Monday, Eastman had a $100,000 bond agreement with Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis.
A Year Packed With Indictment Against Donald Trump
This is the fourth case against the former President as he already faced a New York state trial in March. One of the cases relates to a hush money payment that he made to a porn star and another one is about his alleged involvement in mishandling federal classified documents. There was a federal trial in May in Florida.
Even though the former President is ready to turn himself in, Trump has pleaded that he is not guilty in any of the all criminal cases against him. Having too much in plate, Trump can spend a hefty amount of time in court, even as he campaigns to retake the White House.
