The helicopter, identified as Ghana Armed Forces Helicopter 29, departed from Accra at 09:12 a.m. en route to Obuasi. Tragically, it went down shortly after, with no survivors reported. The Minister of Defence, Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, and the Minister for Environment, Science, Technology, and Innovation, Dr. Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed, are among those who have been killed.
