Washington DC, USA: Four members of an abducted Sikh family in California, USA, were discovered murdered in a garden. This information was provided by the State Sheriff on Monday, following the release of video of a man abducting an eight-month-old girl and three other family members from Merced in the San Joaquin Valley, southeast of San Francisco.
The remains were discovered in a garden in Merced County, according to Sheriff Vern Warneke. “What we were most afraid of happened,” he told reporters.
Aruhi Dheri, an eight-month-old girl, her mother Jasleen Kaur (27), father Jasdeep Singh (36) and Jasdeep’s brother Amandeep Singh were identified as family members (39).

Authorities had previously stated that the family had been taken by a robber, who had even attempted suicide a day after the kidnapping. The abductor made no ransom demands, but the sheriff believed the kidnapping was done for money.
Police issued images of kidnapper
Following the kidnapping, sheriff’s deputies released two photos of a man they suspected of being the kidnapper. He described the guy as having a shaved head and wearing a hoodie (cap attached to a T-shirt).
Authorities said on Monday evening that an eight-month-old girl and her parents had been kidnapped by a man who was armed and dangerous. A family member had also been taken.

The family was from Hoshiarpur
According to sources, the victim’s family came from Harsi village of Tanda in Hoshiarpur, Punjab, and owned a transport company in America. On Monday, the family was kidnapped, and their car was discovered burned in the middle of the road.
Following the incident, a suspect was apprehended who also attempted suicide. The suspect had withdrawn money from the family’s ATM.
The family is claimed to have been taken at gunpoint. Their eight-year-old daughter was also present at the time of the kidnapping.
