Covid-19 in Pakistan: Former President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari has become coronavirus positive. His son and Pakistan Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has given out this information through a tweet.

Bilawal tweeted, “He (Zardari) has received both the coronavirus vaccines, has mild symptoms of coronavirus, due to which he has been isolated and is undergoing treatment. We are praying for his speedy recovery.”

Earlier this week, Asif Ali Zardari had gone to Dubai with his daughter Bakhtawar Bhutto-Zardari’s son to celebrate his 67th birthday on July 26. Bakhtawar said that when he landed in Dubai, his coronavirus report was positive and he had mild symptoms, after which he was kept in isolation for 4 days.

He said that he would return after recovering from Covid-19.

“Thank you for your prayers and everyone be careful,” he said.

Asif Ali Zardari, husband of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto, served as the 11th President of Pakistan from 2008 to 2013.

Pakistan’s first Covid-19 case was reported in February 2020. According to the Ministry of National Health Services, 761 new Covid-19 cases have been reported in the country in the last 24 hours and 8 people have died.
