Former Nepalese Prime Minister K P Sharma Oli on Sunday slammed the Sushila-Karki-led government, accusing them of attempting to arrest him “without grounds.” He claimed that the current dispensation is not serious enough to hold the general elections, which are slated for March 5.
According to The Times of India report, Oli was interacting with reporters and editors in Kathmandu following his ouster from power. He said his party, CPN-UML, would seek the reinstatement of the dissolved House.
Oli said that the Karki government wanted him to be arrested despite there being “no grounds.” He also claimed that the current interim government is not serious enough to conduct the general elections, which are slated for March 5.
On October 17, Prime Minister Sushila Karki held a high-level diplomatic briefing one month after the formation of the government at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
In her briefing, the interim prime minister assured the diplomats that the Himalayan Nation is steadily returning to normalcy, as the government intensifies efforts to restore stability, promote transparency, and combat corruption.

We would greatly appreciate your support in sharing this positive message with the wider international community. Excellencies, we would deeply appreciate the understanding, cooperation, and friendship that your governments and missions have extended towards Nepal and the Nepali people,” Karki said in her briefing.
