Maye Musk, the mother of DOGE head and Tesla CEO Elon Musk has been making headlines in Indian media. She became talk of the town after her 77th birthday celebration in India on April 19. Maye grabbed spotlight after she visited Siddhivinayak Temple in Mumbai on Easter Sunday, along with Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez. She was seen in a printed yellow suit, looking radiant. Maye later celebrated her birthday in the city in absence of most of her family members. Her son, Elon was one of those names. However, despite being miles away, Elon left no stone unturned to make this day special for his mother. His sweet gesture won Maye’s appreciation and touched the hearts of netizens.

Here’s what the Tesla CEO did; He sent beautiful flowers to Maye in Mumbai. She thanked Elon in an X post and shared a picture of herself with those flowers. The pink and white flowers looked beautiful as Maye struck a pose with them. She wrote on X, “Thank you @elonmusk for sending these beautiful birthday flowers to me in Mumbai Love m.”
Moreover, Maye stole limelight with her birthday outfit in Mumbai. Interestingly, she chose an Indian designer for her dress on the special occasion. She wore Sabyasachi ensemble and statement earrings from Sabyasachi High Jewellery. With this, Maye proved “When in Rome, do as the Romans do.” She looked elegant in blush-toned lehenga-gown with floral motifs. Notably, the dress is a customised version of dresses included in Sabyasachi’s Heritage Collection.
Earlier, Elon had wished Maye with a heartfelt note. He wrote on X, “Love you, Mom. Thanks for everything.”
Maye in another post shed light on the tradition of her birthday celebration over years. She mentioned that every five years, her children (Elon, Kimbal and Tosca) throw a huge party for her. Along with this post, she shared pictures from previous celebrations that screamed joy and love.

Born on April 19, 1948, Maye is a Canadian model and dietitian. She has been model for 50 years and appeared on Cover magazines of Vogue, Time magazines etc. She is the mother of Elon Musk, Kimbal Musk and Tosca Musk. She has two masters degrees in diet and nutrition and is a registered dietitian. She married Errol Musk in 1970 and later divorced in 1979. Maye has authored several books also. She received an honorary doctorate from the University of the Free State in South Africa in April 2023.
