US President Donald Trump had landed in Arizona on Monday (local time) to attend the memorial service for the Kirk, who was fatally shot at a campus event at Utah Valley University on September 10.

A moment from conservative activist Charlie Kirk’s memorial service has caught everyone’s attention, as United States President Donald Trump and Tesla CEO Elon Musk were seen sitting side by side. This marked their first public encounter since Musk’s resignation in May and the public spat that followed. The two were observed speaking in a private suite during the service, with a White House social media account highlighting their interaction.

Trump had landed in Arizona on Monday (local time) to attend the memorial service for the Kirk, who was fatally shot at a campus event at Utah Valley University on September 10. Along with Trump, Vice President JD Vance and Kirk’s widow, Erika Kirk were present at the event and delivered remarks in the memory of Kirk.

Kirk’s video on Trump-Musk goes viral

Interestingly, as the photo grabbed the spotlight, a video of Kirk surfaced online in which he comments on Trump and Musk’s relationship following their falling out. In a show titled “The Charlie Kirk Show” aired by the Salem News channel in July, Kirk appeared positive about a potential reconciliation between the two. He stated, “I think Elon and Trump will reconcile.”

Notably, ties between Musk and Trump were severed after Musk criticised administration’s signature policy bill, calling it “fiscally irresponsible” after stepping down as the head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). A series of social media posts from both sides indicated about the strain in their relationship.
