Donald Trump’s key appointments: President-elect Donald Trump has picked some notable figures so far for his 2.0 Cabinet ahead of his return to the White House in January next year.
Here are some of Trump’s notable picks so far which include Robert F Kennedy Jr (Secretary of Health), Marco Rubio (Secretary of state), and Doug Collins (Department of Veteran Affairs).
Some of the appointed officials may face challenging Senate confirmation unless Trump chooses to bypass the procedure through recess appointments.

US President-elect Donald Trump announced the appointment of Tesla CEO Elon Musk on Tuesday along with Indian-origin Vivek Ramaswamy to lead the new Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). However, after his appointment to lead the DOGE, alongside Elon Musk, Vivek Ramaswamy withdrew his nomination from the senate appointment in Ohio.
He appointed former Congresswoman Lieutenant Colonel Tulsi Gabbard as Director of National Intelligence (DNI) on Wednesday. Trump also nominated Congressman Matt Gaetz to be the Attorney General as part of his key appointments for his 2024 administration. In addition, he appointed Senator Marco Rubio of Florida as Secretary of State.
