New Delhi: An argument between the husband and wife about the child erupted in the fifth month of pregnancy. The child was not wanted by the husband. The husband requested an abortion from his wife. However, the wife refused. Following this, the man burned his wife alive. The wife was severely burned. She spent a long time in the hospital fighting for her life. But in the end, she succumbed to the burn injuries.
Hana Mohammad Khodori, 21, was admitted to a hospital in Tripoli, Libya’s capital. She was in very serious condition. In reality, her husband attempted to murder her by burning her alive with a gas canister.
The doctor had then said, while explaining Hana’s condition, “Her foetus has died, and she will have to undergo surgery to remove it. The woman’s chances of survival are also slim.”
Hana reportedly told her husband that she wanted to have a child. When the husband found out, he became enraged and began beating his pregnant wife. The husband was concerned about the financial burden that the child would impose on the family.
Hana’s aunt told local TV that the husband tried to persuade her to have an abortion. When he couldn’t persuade Hana, he set her on fire.
According to family friend Abdul Rahman Haddadi, Hana’s husband wanted to flee the country following the incident. However, he has been apprehended by Libyan security forces.
Hana was admitted to Al-Salam Hospital on August 6, according to a doctor who spoke with Arab News. The woman’s body was nearly completely burned. He is between life and death, according to the doctor. He was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit.
Doctor Gabriel al-Sabei stated that Hana has been in the hospital since her admission. On a daily basis, he undergoes numerous operations. He stated that Hana is on life support. Because the majority of his body has been burned, his condition is critical. However, Hana’s death was later confirmed.
