Defence Minister Rajnath Singh is on a two-day official visit to Morocco from September 22 to 23. At the interaction with the Indian community in Rabat on Monday, the Minister expressed confidence in India getting back PoK’s control without resorting to aggressive measures. Meanwhile, he also commented on the possibility of the second and third phases of Operation Sindoor.
“PoK will be ours on its own. Demands have started being made in PoK, you must have heard sloganeering,” the Minister said. Singh added that he made the same statements five years ago during a program of the Indian Army in Jammu and Kashmir. He reiterated that Pakistan-occupied Kashmir is ours, and they will themselves say, ‘Mai bhi Bharat Hoon’.

The Defence Minister’s remarks came in the wake of the allegations against the government that it had ‘missed the chance’ to capture PoK during Operation Sindoor. “Whether part 2 remains to be done or part 3, we can’t say. It depends on their (Pakistan’s) conduct. If they indulge in terrorist activities, they would get a reply…26 of our people were killed in Pahalgam after being asked their religion,” Rajnath Singh Said.
The Defence Minister is in Morocco to unveil the Tata Advanced Systems’ new manufacturing facility for the Wheeled Armoured Platform (WhAP) 8×8 at Berrechid. After the inauguration, the facility will become the first-ever Indian defense manufacturing plant in Africa. During his visit, he will also hold a bilateral meeting with his counterpart, Abdeltif Loudiyi, on strengthening defence and industry cooperation.
