A major suicide bombing took place in Pakistan’s Balochistan province on Sunday night. The attack was reportedly carried out by terrorists from the Tehreek-i-Taliban-e-Pakistan (TTP), who targeted a Pakistan Army Frontier Corps camp in Gulistan, near the Afghan border. TTP Claims Responsibility
According to reports, the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has said they carried out the attack as part of what they call their ‘Al-Khandaq Operation’. The violence started when a suicide bomber drove a car full of explosives into the entrance of the army camp. After the blast, armed militants entered the camp and got into a fierce gun battle with the security forces inside.

Local reports say that at least three people were killed and 11 others were injured when a car bomb exploded near a market close to the army camp. Most of the shops were closed at the time, which helped prevent a higher number of casualties. The explosion also damaged a wall of the army camp.
This attack on Pakistan Army fort in Gulistan marks the second major attack by TTP in recent days. Just two days earlier, the group targeted a security checkpoint in Khuzdar, killing four members of the paramilitary forces.
