China is now preparing to operate a train that travels at almost supersonic speeds. This train will operate at a speed of 1000 kilometers per hour, and its test run has been successfully completed. It is referred to as an Ultra High-Speed Maglev (Maglev) train. The train will be operated within a long pipeline.
China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation Limited (CASIC) conducted the testing of this Maglev train in the test zone located in Shansi. The train was propelled inside a two-kilometer-long pipeline by creating a vacuum. There are plans to operate it between Hangzhou and Shanghai in the future, connecting major cities in China.
A superconducting maglev test line has been established in Datong City, located in the Shanxi province of northern China, for this train. Scientist Li Ping from CASIC mentioned that we are currently conducting preliminary tests, and we have achieved success. Currently, the design, speed, navigation, and other aspects are being thoroughly examined for success.
Li Ping mentioned that once this train passes all the tests, efforts will be made to operate it between Hangzhou and Shanghai initially. This endeavor involves significant hard work, time, and financial investment. With this speed, China will be able to connect one corner to another in just a few hours. Currently, testing is being conducted at a speed of 623 kilometers per hour.
This speed has been achieved without creating a vacuum. After creating a vacuum, its speed will reach 1000 kilometers per hour. Currently, the maximum speed of high-speed bullet trains operating in China is 350 kilometers per hour.
