Canada Mass Shooting: Three people, including the suspected attacker, were killed in a mass shooting incident at Langley in the province of British Columbia in Canada on Monday.
According to news agency Reuters, the police appealed to people to stay home after several shots were fired in the city of Langley in the incident that took place at 6.20 am Canadian time. The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) issued an alert saying that there were reports of several shootings around the city.
A civilian emergency alert has been issued by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) for Langley Downtown Corps BC. People have been advised to be alert and not to step out of their homes.
Several injured in Langley mass shooting
The police have temporarily closed the roads around the crime scene. The police said that several people were injured in this firing incident.
One suspect arrested
Local media house CBC News reported that police confirmed that a man had been arrested at 7 a.m. (local time).
“We have a suspect in custody,” police officer Sergeant Rebecca Parslow said.
Police car damaged
A black police car was riddled with bullets in the parking lot of Willowbrook Mall, reports CBC News. At least nine bullet marks were found on the car.
