Breaking: Former Pak PM Imran Khan injured in firing incident

Islamabad: A firing was reported near the container of former prime minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan’s near Zafar Ali Khan chowk in Wazirabad, Pakistan media reports.

According to Geo News, Khan sustained bullet injuries on his leg. According to the police, the suspect who opened fire on Khan’s container has been arrested.

Several other people, including PTI leader Faisal Javed, also sustained injuries.

Following the incident, the PTI chairman has been shifted to a hospital. Meanwhile, rescue sources told Geo News that four to five PTI leaders have sustained injuries.

Visual footage showed Imran being moved from the container to another vehicle with the help of other people present on the site. It also shows a bandage tied around the PTI’s chief leg.

According to Pakistani media, the police caught the attacker from the spot. The attacker tried to shot and kill Imran Khan. Four to five other people were also injured in the firing. The sound of gunfire created a stampede in the foot march. People started running here and there screaming.
