Her decision of quitting post has shattered the Conservation party as it was just two weeks when she was appointed. The UK Prime Minister is believed to be brought down by the economic policies introduced by her.
The leader of Conservative Party Liz Truss accepted that she will not be able to fulfill promises she made to win the elections for the Prime Minister post.
“I recognise though, given the situation, I cannot deliver the mandate on which I was elected by the Conservative Party. I have therefore spoken to His Majesty the King to notify him that I am resigning as leader of the Conservative Party,” she said.
It is worth noting that Truss has lost two senior ministers in government since last Friday. In the parliament, the minister remained mute when the new Finance Minister tore Truss’ economic plans.
Truss faced laughter in the parliament when she was trying to defend.
